NATIONBUILDER'S FIRST D.C. HIRE -- NationBuilder, which builds websites and organizing systems for politicians and causes, among others, has hired John Brougher as its new sales director, making him the firm's first D.C. staffer. The Los Angeles-based software company recently closed $6.25 million in funding from investors including former Facebook President Sean Parker and Andreessen Horowitz. Brougher comes to NationBuilder from D.C.-based Salsa Labs. Previously, he ran the online shop for the Democratic Governors Association.
